It is easy to pick up a clean pom by depressing the end of the tool. Release the spring-driven plunger to retract the prongs for a tight hold on the pom pom. This is an ingenius way to hold your pom and use it as an applicator for lots of uses. When you are finished, depress the plunger again to release the pom.
